Q. What's "GG?"

A. It means "good game."

GG has been around since the mid-to-late '90s. It's been used as a mark of sportsmanship and an acknowledgment that you had fun while competing. It's a way to admit defeat or compliment your opponent for a well-fought battle. For many players, it's standard practice to type GG into the chat at the end of every match, or to perhaps vocalize such.

It's a reminder to be positive, fair and keep having fun. — Therefore,

Do not cheat by providing yourself with an unfair advantage!

Do not abuse GG by purposely flaunting victories in opponents' faces, like typing GG EZ meaning 'good game, easy win.' Be a good sport, because while everybody likes to win, nobody likes to lose and accepting defeat can already be hard enough. So why make it any harder? Maintain the fun!
